Parliamentary Library Summer Research Scholarships 2016

  • Are you an honours or postgraduate tertiary student with a keen interest in PUBLIC POLICY, LAW, ECONOMICS, DEMOCRACY, POLITICS or PARLIAMENT?
  • Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your research skills in an exciting and challenging environment?
  • Would you like the chance to access the collections of the Parliamentary Library?

 

The Parliamentary Library is offering six-week Summer Research Scholarships in January–February 2016 to support a research project on a topic of mutual interest to the Scholar and to the Australian Parliament. The successful Scholars will receive:

  • experience working in the Australian Parliament
  • privileged access to the Parliamentary Library’s collections and facilities
  • interaction with expert librarians and researchers in the Parliamentary Library
  • an honorarium of $1,800 payable as a one-off amount at the conclusion of the six-week placement

About the Parliamentary Library

The Parliamentary Library provides high quality information, analysis and advice to Senators and Members of the House of Representatives in support of their parliamentary and representational roles, as well as to their staff, the staff of committees, and the Governor-General.
