About the role

The Nomination Services Officer position is a newly created position in which attentive adherence to legislative, regulatory requirements and timeframes will be essential, requiring a detail-oriented individual who brings both strong administrative and customer service skills.

Sharing this role with another Nomination Services Officer, the positions will work together collaboratively with the GM (Aus), CEO, Chapter Chairs and Chairperson to administer the professional nominations, referrals and adjudication services for disputing parties.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinating the appointment of mediators, arbitrators, experts and other ADR practitioners as required by contractual specification with reference to the LEADR & IAMA database, specific criteria and if necessary consultation with Chapter Chairs or Chair of LEADR & IAMA.
  • Processing/Administering applications adjudications under different state legislations for building and construction industry security of payments (BCISP) (involving close adherence to timeframes and other requirements prescribed in each jurisdiction)
  • Processing/Administering applications for .au Domain Name Disputes (involving close adherence to timeframes and other requirements prescribed by the auDA)
  • Reviewing nomination policies and processes, making recommendations for efficiency and process improvements to assist in business operations
  • Answering enquiries about LEADR & IAMA clauses for contractual agreements, BCISP applications and nomination processes
  • Assisting with complaints and grievance procedural matters

About you


  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills, including research and analysis with exceptional levels of attention to detail
  • Minimum two years’ experience in an administrative or para legal role
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Initiative and enthusiasm
  • A friendly and flexible approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone communication skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and move things on quickly
  • Australian citizenship, residency or valid work permit


  • Experience working in a not for profit organisation
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business administration or similar
  • Experience in provision of ADR services
